Hnn, it seems like this is Kernel independent. I boot on the very first start fine with .33 and upgrade then the Kernel. Plymouth freeze then, as described. I was 3 weeks in holidays and the device was in usage in this while. (Its from a friend of mine.) When i boot now in .33 (i delete .39 back then) it happens sometimes, that all start fine, and sometimes that plymouth hangs, like it do before in .39. In this case, when it reach around 80% of the bar or here: http://funkyimg.com/view/Z4pk What is new: The internet is down since some days (no updates). I put the local hw-probe on a stick, its available here: https://github.com/ShalokShalom/Supertuxkart_-Binary-/releases/tag/1.0 KDE Plasma mentions each ~ 10 minutes or so: Diffusion de message de ....... pcmups@localhost is unavailable. Same on another WLAN. hw-probe for that system after the problems with the network: http://hw.rosalinux.ru/index.php?probe=d98fb29e1f I disable Plymouth and all works fine now. Will try another Kernel for the network issue. If that is not enough, i will create another bug report. Thanks a lot for the great help :D How to disable plymouth (for other users with the same/similar issue:) kdesu kwrite /etc/default/grub (Replace kdesu kwrite with gksu gedit, if you are on GNOME) Then go to the line GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash" remove quiet splash, then save the document (with ctrl/strg + S) and run sudo update-grub2 I recommend to take this up into the wiki page of plymouth. |
