And where does Skype? I'm talking about Youmagic.
Comment 3 Dmitry 2013-11-07 20:23:39 MSK
OK, thank you.

I'll try to explain the problem. KDE Alt+Tab switcher uses *only* icon that is attached to X-window. KDE applications automatically sets large icon because KDE itself contains code that find large icon and attaches it to X-Window. Non-KDE applications set usually small icons (like Skype and YopuMagic). It is allowed that any program may change X-window icon at any time. For example, Gimp sets a small thumbnail of image that is opened by user. Gnome Shell implementation of Alt+Tab tries to find desktop file and load large icon from theme, but I don't sure that Gimp thumbnails is working in Gnome. So, the main question: what is better: show real icon or not?

Mmmm... It's better when all the icons are the same. And where they're from, the user still.
If it is not possible to do all the icons are the same, we would need to write about it here http://wiki.rosalab.ru/ru/index.php/%D0%AD%D1%82%D0%BE_%D0%BD%D0%B5_%D0%B1%D0%B0%D0%B3,_%D0%B0_%D1%84%D0%B8%D1%87%D0%B0

We can't require from developers to draw large icons.

youmagic large icon

Here is a large icon for youmagic. If anybody knows how to integrate it into the package correctly, feel free to do this:)
Comment 10 Stanislav Fomin 2015-01-14 19:23:23 MSK
Youmagic в данный момент не поддерживается — новой версии YM под Linux нет, ворошить старую смысла нет.
Comment 11 Stanislav Fomin 2015-02-17 18:31:20 MSK
Если снова будет сотрудничество с YouMagic — попросим сделать большие иконки.
А пока, раз нет новой версии, исключим YM из образов.
Comment 12 Vladimir Potapov 2015-02-17 19:28:36 MSK
Ну, в последних кедах мы пофиксили проблему чуть уменьшив размер иконок в панели alt+tab
