I suggest we need add to SW some config, that may hide/unhide some .desktop files, instead crack upstream package and have more hate and pain from maintainers. All things, presents in tarball, will be present in package, in other way with every new version and forgets fix .desktop (patch not usefull for this) application will appear in menu. No, it is wrong way. First of all, no one can tell about all application shortcuts that should be hidden, second, it will slow down SW. And it do not solve this problem for other menus (Kickoff, e.t.c). And it is no problem to fix .desktop file. Just add to the spec: echo 'Hidden=true' > [/path/to/the/desktop_file] and you never will have problems with new versions of a package. |
