Can we get a Rosa 2016.1 port? Pidgin 2.14.2 released. I have ready 2.4.14 for 2016.1. However it now requires the libgnt library (it was extracted as standalone package from the original pidgin sources) and 2016.1 has this package in Contrib and thus it cannot be used for building packages in Main... So someone more powerful than myself need to put libgnt in Main and only then I will be able to update pidgin for Rosa 2016.1. As an alternative, I could build pidgin without the ncurses UI (finch): is that OK from an user POV? Thats fine with me, as I don't use Finch. for Terminal oriented Pidgin, I use Spectrum2, However, my say-so may not be enough here. You need to contact the people from Main. Never used such things... it's because of this that I need some guidance to reproduce the issue. I would but it would create a seconday issue for me as my older version still uses the AIM/Oscar Module for something called Phoenix and I don't know how to build AIM/Oscar as an external yet. This is a glitch in the program and you are not to blame here. There was an issue with purple-carbons. Purple-carbons had to be rebuilt. I am removing the request flag. After the fix please check the qa box again. *************************** |
