ROSA Linux Bugzilla – Bug 8228
crash in sdlmame while using -cheat option
Last modified: 2017-08-12 01:54:42 MSD
Description of problem:
while using cheats in mame, with the extra package installed, it crash while launching the game. It wasn't the case in Rosa 8, or if you activate cheat option without the cheat.zip installed. There was probably a problem in the .zip file, the xml for Garou looks damaged.
Official cheat file is a .7z, doesn't seem to work in Linux. So I really need this bugfix.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 0.145
How reproducible: simply launch garou parent rom (garou.zip) in mame with cheats activated, cheats installed.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.install package sdlmame
3.install garou.zip rom and neogeo.zip rom (I own original Neogeo, so i'm not illégal) in home/.sdlmame/roms
4.launch by inputting this command : sdlmame garou -cheat
5.normally he will complain about :
~ $ sdlmame garou -cheat
MAME exception: garou.xml(17): error parsing cheat expression "temp0 =maincpu.mw@027F9C" (invalid memory name)

Thank you very much. You did a great job with your distro, I just like it. It's just amazing.
