Comment 1 Eugene Shatokhin 2016-12-11 21:44:18 MSK
wpa_supplicant was updated to version 2.6 with lots of fixes all around. Among other things, support for the newer kernels was improved.

The update is sent to expanded testing
Comment 3 Eugene Shatokhin 2016-12-17 22:21:41 MSK
As it turns out, version 2.6 probably does not play well with broadcom-wl (http://forum.rosalab.ru/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=7676&p=79690#p79665).

Need to investigate this.

Comment 8 Giovanni Mariani 2018-02-17 22:20:50 MSK
We have 2.6 now in Rosa 2016.1...
Eugene, the mail thread you linked in the last comment shows that the issue you were seeing is gone: can we close this very old update request?
Comment 9 Eugene Shatokhin 2018-02-18 18:56:32 MSK
Yes, IIRC, a separate update request was created for this. The fixes were made to both wpa_supplicant and NetworkManager.
