Description Eugene Shatokhin 2016-08-25 17:30:11 MSD
When I was testing kernel 4.7.2 on a system with Radeon RX 460 GPU, I ran hw-probe and it seemd to hang.

I narrowed down the problem to "/usr/sbin/hwinfo --vbe" - it hangs on that system even if run explicitly, not only when hw-probe runs.

GDB shows that hwinfo is constantly doing something during that time rather than just sleeping.

On the kernel 4.6.5 with the same hardware and VESA graphics hwinfo seems to complete OK: http://hw.rosalinux.ru/index.php?probe=72dd80da38
