Description of problem:
Hello, team!
I can't enable mobile adapter on my laptop. 
OS not determine the device, but according with http://hw.rosalinux.ru/index.php?id=usb:03f0-241d for this device support declared in core

Probe of my laptop here: 

Can Y take any advise?

Firmware loader for Gobi devices, x86_64

As far as I can see, this device may need special firmware to activate function properly.

It is unclear if the license of the firmware permits us to distribute it officially in ROSA but you can get the files from here:


Create directory /lib/firmware/gobi/ (as root) and place these 3 files there.

Then, install the application that will automatically load the firmware when the device is detected. The RPM package, gobi_loader is attached (will be available on ABF as well after ABF has been fixed).

After that, please reboot the system or reload 'qcserial' module (rmmod qcserial; modprobe qcserial).
