Description Eugene Budanov 2016-01-19 17:26:40 MSK
Run: sudo urpmi ipython than after installing some needed dependencies:

roger@jarnvidr ~ $ ipython
Traceback (most recent call last):

  File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/IPython/external/pexpect/__init__.py", line 5, in <module>
    from ._pexpect import *
ImportError: No module named _pexpect

But package python-pexpect was installed on system:

roger@jarnvidr ~ $ rpm -qa | grep pexpect
python-pexpect-4.0.1-1-rosa2014.1.noarch
Comment 1 Denis Silakov 2016-01-19 19:10:10 MSK
Indeed, new python-pexpect requires python-ptyprocess which was absent in repos. As a result, ipython and some other programs became broken after pexpect update.

Fixed with the new python-pexpect package which now requires python-ptyprocess.
