Description of problem:
I have Scaner Epson Perfection v330 Photo. My system does not see it:

  # sane-find-scanner will now attempt to detect your scanner. If the
  # result is different from what you expected, first make sure your
  # scanner is powered up and properly connected to your computer.

  # No SCSI scanners found. If you expected something different, make sure that
  # you have loaded a kernel SCSI driver for your SCSI adapter.

  # Your USB scanner was (probably) detected. It may or may not be supported by
  # SANE. Try scanimage -L and read the backend\'s manpage.

  # Not checking for parallel port scanners.

  # Most Scanners connected to the parallel port or other proprietary ports
  # can\'t be detected by this program.

scanimage -L
device `v4l:/dev/video0\' is a Noname Laptop_Integrated_Webcam_0.3M virtual device

I have tried to install drivers from official vendor http://www.avasys.jp/lx-bin2/linux_e/scan/DL1.do but my attempt wa not successfully.

Try make symlink

ln -s /usr/lib/libltdl.so.7 /usr/lib/libltdl.so.3

and reinstall rpm

The same scanner, it works. Solution: install package including ltdl
Comment 4 Dmitry 2012-08-06 10:30:39 MSD
You should download from Avasys package including libltdl (iscan-2.28.1-3.ltdl7.i386) and install it.
