Only Denis answer in one of my bug reports direct me to:

Please make this repo at least a bit more easy to find, like add it by default in the repo list and do not activate it or something like that and create a wiki page about it: http://wiki.rosalab.ru/en/index.php?search=debug&title=Special%3ASearch

Kdenlive crash here frequently, when i load new images/videos, where can i find the debug symbols for the current 4.14.8 please ?
Comment 1 Denis Silakov 2015-07-03 16:43:01 MSD
Agree with the first point, we should make finding debug repos easier.

As for the second point, debug repositories are always in sync with the usual ones, this is done automatically by ABF. The current version of kdenlive is 15.04.2 and here is debuginfo for it:

Note that there for some packages maintainers explicitly disable creation of debug info (e.g., to save build time) so debug repositories can miss debug packages for some programs.

I think a wiki page is the most sense full now, (this is the reason, why i choose wiki as component is this report here).

First of, because it makes finding the repos more easy, second because we can describe there, how to add these and thirdly, because it confuse users like me, why for some apps is kdebase4-debuginfo to choose and for some other exist an own package. I am now aware about it ^^

P.S: Why are these packages not included by default, please ?
Is there another, maybe recommended way to debug as gdb ?

Can we make a wiki page about debugging in general ? :)

Thanks a lot, great support as always.
