You misunderstood. We did not package the translations yet because they happened to be incomplete (outdated). Julia uploaded the new source strings to the Transifex, so now we are waiting for the translations to come.

The letter after & is a shortcut key. When you press Alt+R (in case of Clea&r), the button's action is performed.

It's application for running other applications with elevated privileges (that is, as user "root"). There are manu such programs: su and sudo are probably the most known ones. (See "man su" and "man sudo" for more details.)

If ImageWriter detects that it does not have root privileges (which are required for direct writing to USB flash), it searches for an appropriate elevation application and automatically restarts itself using it. However, it cannot use su itself, because it requires terminal for entering root password. Therefore only graphical su-applications are searched for: kdesu, gksu, xdg-su, etc. If no such program was found, an error is displayed and requests the user to run ImageWriter with root privileges manually.

Yes, it is. While translating to other language, we keep this &, f.i. "Очи&стить" in Russian. Put in whatever place u like between letters but it must be present :)
Comment 7 Konstantin Vlasov 2015-06-20 16:12:34 MSD
"Must" is too strong a word. It can be omitted, the program won't crash if it's missing. It's just a usability feature, so it's recommended to use it.

OK, thanks. I guess shortcuts are for functions, which get called very frequently ?
Anyway, i will add it. :)

Is it maybe sense full, to add these examples ?
Like: (kdesu, gksu, xdg-su or something like that)

Not necessarily. There are users who prefer to use mouse as little as possible; keyboard navigation is very important to them for all functions, not only frequent ones.

If a user does not know what "su" is, "kdesu" and "gksu" won't make much sense for him/her either.

Ah, i see. So the german translations are done. :)
Comment 11 Konstantin Vlasov 2015-06-22 16:29:49 MSD
Thank you. I will add it in the next update.
Comment 12 Shalok Shalom 2015-06-26 14:33:21 MSD
You mean the next ROSA Imager update or the next update in general ?

I receive no update yet, still in english. :)
Comment 13 Konstantin Vlasov 2015-06-26 15:06:04 MSD
The next ROSA ImageWriter update. At the moment, I'm fixing some bugs that were found recently. When the update is ready, it will be published in our package repositories, and the German translation will also be included (I've already put it in our source repositories, but did not build packages with it yet).
Comment 14 Konstantin Vlasov 2015-07-07 22:27:52 MSD
The update was published; version 2.6.1 contains the German translation. Thanks!
