mesa is not listed on my fresh r5 install with all updates and i use the default open source drivers: http://funkyimg.com/view/UWqk

How reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

1.Open drakrpm
2.Switch to search for all packages
3.Search mesa

'mesa' itself is a meta-package and is rarely needed itself. That package does not contain any Mesa libraries required to use opensource graphics.

libgl1 is needed, on the other hand. This is the OpenGL implementation from Mesa project. It is in a separate package and must be already installed.

I guess, 'rpm -qa | grep mesa' shows only mesa-demos? If so, this is OK.

Eugene is right, the 'mesa' package in ROSA only contains several README files and /etc/drirc file with workarounds for bugs in several applications (not sure if the latter file is up to date and really required). Real MESA libraries with OpenGL implementation are provided in separate packages - libgl, libglapi and so on. So this is not a problem that you don't have the 'mesa' package installed.
