Description Eugene Budanov 2015-01-23 20:47:36 MSK
Bug with backlight hotkeys was solved in #4183

After upgrading to ROSA Fresh R5 LXDE and adding GRUB parameter 'acpi_backlight=vendor' nothing changed. I see brightness level OSD, but brightness not change by pressing Fn+Brightness Up/Down keys.
Comment 1 Eugene Shatokhin 2015-01-26 11:16:52 MSK
Possibly, not LXDE-specific.

Please check if the problem still shows up with kernel 3.18.x.
It is recommended to uninstall all proprietary graphics drivers (if any are used) before installing that kernel.

The kernel packages are available here (select the appropriate subdir there):

Updating to kernel 3.18.2 fixed my problem.
