Description Konstantin Vlasov 2014-11-28 15:23:39 MSK
When new updates are detected, a KDE notification appears with button "Install updates" inside it. However, when I click this button nothing happens, or (sometimes) even the button itself disappears. The Updater does not open.

If I click the "double-arrow" icon in the notification area (not in the notification widget) everything works fine. So, the problem seems to be in the pop-up message, not in the updater.

ROSA Fresh R4 x86_64, KDE 4.14.3 and all other latest updates.

I came to bugzilla to file a bug for this problem and the search showed me this bug, already filed.

Some time ago, in earlier ROSA release(s), possibly in a Mageia or OM desktop, I noticed this and know how to use cli to update. However, if valid, it should be fixed.

To be clear, the information applet pops up a message that updates are available.
There is a button to install updates.
Clicking on the button does nothing except that the button disappears.
I don't see any "mdk-update" type icon in the taskbar.

Maybe this is the relevant package: kcm-rpmdrake-update-1.0-7.src.rpm
