Description Rolf Pedersen 2013-10-06 01:43:02 MSD
As there is no more mcc/drakconf, I try SystemSettings > Hardware Configuration Tool > Hard Disk
There, I choose a drive and click "Run config tool"
IIRC, this used to start the diskdrake partition tool but nothing happens.

If I call diskdrake from a root prompt,

# diskdrake

Up-to-date ROSA Desktop Fresh R1 release 2012.1 for x86_64
Comment 1 Denis Silakov 2013-10-06 09:39:37 MSD
Seems to be similar to bug #796. There are two ways here - investigate why /proc/bus/usb is not created (according to the log, drakxtools fail to recognize device) and teach drak* tools to work without that folder.
Comment 2 Aleksandr Kazantcev 2013-10-06 18:25:28 MSD
Please provide

 rpm -qa | grep drakxtools
Comment 3 Aleksandr Kazantcev 2013-10-06 18:31:27 MSD
/proc/bus/usb/devices removed from latest kernels - we need use /sys/kernel/debug/usb/devices instead. I fix that soon.
Comment 4 Aleksandr Kazantcev 2013-10-07 16:40:01 MSD
Try install this packages

If bug still valid? Please set it in CONFIRM if problem not resolved.

Sorry for a late response. I'm not getting email notifications for some reason.

mkdir: error creating directory /proc/bus/usb: No such file or directory

The errors up to 'modinfo: ERROR: Module not found' occur as soon as I start harddrake2. The modinfo error occurs when I click on a hard drive, any of 3 sata hdd or 2 ssd. None of these displays a module in the information panel.

The errors after 'modinfo: ERROR: Module not found' occur when I click on 'Run config tool'.

When I click on the usb-connected printer, there is no error and 'usb_storage' is the module displayed in information. 'Run config tool' on this device gives the same error as the others.

Thanks.
