Description of problem:
When you copy images to a USB stick using dd_rescue before everything was normal. Copying went with normal speed, the ProgressBar also showed how much copied. Now, run dd_rescue to copy image on a flash drive, press Enter and LESS than ONE second passes, dd_rescue shows the time 0 and writes that goes check the recorded image. And in such a state about 6min. Obviously he writes to the flash drive and verifies it. But the first stage of the record is less than a second!

This all programs concerned with recording the images on a flash drive:
dd, dd_rescue, rosa-image-writer etc...

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

To be sure that this is kernel related - what happens if you downgrade only kernel to the previous version ?

Comment 3 Alexander Burmashev 2013-06-03 19:49:24 MSD
Well, i understand the problem, i mean that it is required to test it on kernel 3.6.10/3.6.11 without downgrading any other components.
Comment 4 Postnikov Dmitry 2013-06-03 19:54:56 MSD
On 3,6,10 no such a thing. I can certainly try. But do not see the point. Because absolutely everything is written PERFECTLY! Simply transfer records of type "accelerated".
Comment 5 Postnikov Dmitry 2013-06-03 19:55:37 MSD
На 3,6,10 такого нет. Я могу еще, конечно попробовать. Но смысла не вижу. Т.к. абсолютно все записывается ОТЛИЧНО! Просто отбражение записи типа "ускоренное".

Comment 7 Alexander Burmashev 2013-06-03 20:00:04 MSD
Я понимаю, но нужно быть уверенным, что причина именно ядро. Если при прочих равных только при смене ядра поведение меняется - этого вполне достаточно.
Comment 8 Aleksandr Kazantcev 2013-06-03 21:05:55 MSD
I check to non-confirmed such for my three computers problem is not appear. If problem appear on other machines?
Comment 9 Alexander Burmashev 2013-06-03 21:09:40 MSD
I also do not have such a bug, that is why i ask for details to reproduce it.
Comment 10 Postnikov Dmitry 2013-06-03 21:22:49 MSD

Put stick any, and run dd or other software to burn ISO image.
All.

I tried with kernel 3,6,10. A similar situation. But recording time (real) much faster.
On kernel 3.8.12 - 6min 57sec
On kernel 3.6.10 - 2min 57sec
Comment 12 Alexander Burmashev 2013-06-04 01:05:49 MSD
What comes to my mind is that 3.6.10 has BFQ, which of course may be completely unrelated to this issue. Ok, i think it will take some time to investigate this problem.
