ROSA Linux Bugzilla – Bug 1668
mysql-connector-odbc is needed to connect LibreOffice Base to MySQL
Last modified: 2015-04-04 20:55:11 MSD
mysql-connector-odbc is needed to connect LibreOffice Base to MySQL. It provides the ODBC layer for LibreOffice Base to communicate with MySQL or MariaDB.
The package has been built for both Marathon and Desktop Fresh. Should become available on mirrors soon.

This needs to be re-opened. The package has serious bugs that crash libreoffice base, and cause errors in isql. Rolling this update back to the 5.1.8 version included in Mandriva 2011 alleviates the problem,
mysql_embedded: Can't find file: '/var/lib/mysql/mysql/plugin.frm' (errno: 13)

Need restesting before releasing Enterprise X2.
mysql-connector-odbc is a contrib package, so changing the Product. In the coming Enterprise Desktop release we will suggest to use Contrib repository from Desktop Fresh where mysql-connector-odbc is updated to version 5.3.2 and should work fine.
