Description of problem:
I have installed ROSA 2012.1 Fresh. If I see flash object in chromium browser it is played correctly.
But if I use Firefox I have some artefacts while playing flash objects. Example: http://cdn.2safe.com/137411033047/Firefox_17.0.1_Flash_troubles.ogv
Sometimes I have critical problem with flash-plugin in firefox - it is crashed at all

I disable all plugins and extensions in firefox - nothing changes.
I create new user and disable all plugins and extensions in firefox for him - nothing changes.

As You can see 17.0-2 was more stable than actual release

It's normal situation - Flash is not supported for newest version browser in Linux by Adobe anymore - only in Chrome (not Chromium) - and using GPU in latest browser will appeare more and more errors in Flash... Obly software render may be resolve problem, but in future Flash will be fully break in Linux and we need drop it. Flash in 2013 will be live only in Windows :(

We simulate such situation.
1. Install original ROSA 2012.1 Fresh wirh Firefox 17.0-2. Install FlashPlayer. Firefox work well with Flash.
2. Update ONLY Firefox to actual version. Firefox work well.

I see that problem with does not depend from version of firefox, but it depends from some other package or library.

After latest updates there are no crashes of flash plugin at all.
Only artefacts as I write earlier

and in Opera change colors.

Such stranhe behaviour of Flash plugin depends on kernel
With standard kernel I have artefacts in flash objectsm but if I boot another kernel (pae for example) I have no such artefacts

Previous comment is incorrect.
With non-standard kernel crash of flash plugin is not appeared.

What's the current state of art here?

Is somebody still able to get plugin crashes or artifacts with the current state of repositories?

I have not found any problem in VirtualBox installation with flash plugin.
Comment 19 Denis Silakov 2014-03-25 10:44:10 MSK
Ok, let's hope that the problem has gone away.

At least I also have no problems with flash, neither in VBox nor on real machine with nvidia card.
