Description Denis Silakov 2012-12-24 17:25:03 MSK
In the release iso of Desktop.Fresh 2012, we have left by mistake the kde-print-manager package. Initially, that package was added for testing purposes, but quite a few issues were found in it, so we decided to replace it with kcm-printer (a wrapper for system-config-printer).

As a result, in the default installation users have two Printer configuration icons in KDE CC that confuse them.

A possible way to fix this is to update kcm-printer and to remove kde-print-manager with this update. Users who really want to try/use kde-print-manager still be able to reinstall it without problems.

Advisory:
Remove duplicated functionality to configure printers - prefer kcm-printer and drop kde-print-manager.
